It was a day of celebration in Matongo ophanage when Finish social work students visited the house. Sunglasses and cameras of visitors were very interesting. Children had fun playing with the visitors and they already started to speak some Finnish! Africans are so good in languages and they speak many languages at very early age.
Groundman Erik takes care of or ophanage´s buildings and gardens and is also a daddy-model for the children. Very often somebody of them is on his arms.
The registration renewal has meant a lot of bureaucracy and headache! Paavo is leaving the files to children´s departmet of Nyamira county.
On Eastern time we had a few days break and travelled as south as possible. From Cape Town it took 15,5 hours to travel back to Kisumu via Johannesburg and Nairobi.
With could streams from south there comes also visitors to beaches to nest.
Lutheran church Youth Camp happening in Matongo. Seminar´s title was Lutheran Treasures. Anna-Liisa was teaching about Holy Baptism and Paavo about Holy Communion. Students listened very carefully and made good questions. Teaching with Christ on center is really needed!
Tämän sanottuaan hän näytti heille kätensä ja kylkensä. Ilo valtasi opetuslapset, kun he näkivät Herran. Jeesus sanoi uudelleen: "Rauha teille! Niin kuin Isä on lähettänyt minut, niin lähetän minä teidät." Sanottuaan tämän hän puhalsi heitä kohti ja sanoi: "Ottakaa Pyhä Henki.Jolle te annatte synnit anteeksi, hänelle ne ovat anteeksi annetut. Jolta te kiellätte anteeksiannon, hän ei saa syntejään anteeksi." (Joh.20: 20-23)
When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.” (John 20:20-23 ESV)
